"This intensive cleansing cure brings about effective and lasting detoxification and regeneration. With the overall concept of Panchakarma, which has been tried and tested over centuries, water-soluble and fat-soluble waste products are removed from the body using five cleansing procedures. The effect of the cleansing is not limited to the digestive tract, but extends to the cellular levels of the entire organism. The comprehensive cleansing is followed by a rebuilding phase: now the body is strengthened through healing oil massages, rest, Ayurvedic nutrition and with the help of special rasayana preparations. We prepare these individually with organic herbs and fresh decoctions according to Ayurvedic recipes."

1. The preparation

You can prepare yourself optimally for the cure at home. In addition to a questionnaire, you will also receive extensive information material that will prepare you for the cure and help you to adjust your diet and reduce stimulants. It is also advisable to reduce your stress levels somewhat before the cure and, if possible, to do little or no work the day before the cure. Our team will welcome you with a tour of the house, our therapists with a welcome round and the associated Ayurveda doctors with the first Ayurveda consultation. This, in combination with the medical history, determines your individual treatment plan.

2. The pre-treatment

The accumulated doshas are released from the tissues by massages and drinking ghee (snehana) and transported to their places of origin. In simple terms, these are the chest and stomach for kapha, the small intestine for pitta and the large intestine for vata. Sweating cures and a metabolism-stimulating diet promote the process.

3. The elimination

The excess doshas are now eliminated from the body at their main sites. Depending on the medical indication, a selection of the following Panchakarma detoxification procedures are used:

• Virecana: therapeutic purging
• Asthapana Basti or Niruha Basti: cleansing enema with liquid herbal decoctions
• Anuvasana Basti: nourishing enema with medicated oils
• Nasya: administration of herbal preparations and medicated oils through the nose
• Vamana: therapeutic vomiting

4. Post-treatment

This is followed by a phase of regeneration during which the patient needs plenty of rest. As the Agni is weakened by the purging, the digestive fire must be slowly rebuilt. With a special restorative diet, the Agni first gets used to digesting solid food again until the patient can finally eat normal constitutionally appropriate food.

5. Aftercare at home

Experience has shown that patients leave our treatment center after a Panchakarma treatment feeling "reborn". They are accompanied on their way by recommendations for everyday life at home, further therapeutic and preventive advice, an individual diet plan and the tip to allow yourself a little time at home to slowly return to your normal life with new perspectives. The Ayurveda doctors and therapists are also available for you at any time after your treatment.

Note on menstruation during a Panchakarma treatment

During menstruation, the body is already undergoing a natural cleansing process. Intensive detoxification procedures, which are part of the Panchakarma treatment, cannot be carried out during this phase, or only to a very limited extent. We therefore recommend that you plan the start of your treatment accordingly. Our Ayurveda experts will be happy to advise you on a suitable date.
