Cooking for stressed people - 4 rules
Cooking for stressed people - 4 rules
Cooking for stressed people has to be simple and quick, because when we are under stress, we have little time to cook. And yet it is essential for strengthening our spirit to provide ourselves with fresh food every day, cooked with love and eaten in a cozy environment.
If we also manage to use foods and spices that are particularly effective against stress, then we have literally created good food for the mind.
For a healthy Ayurvedic diet, however, it is not only what we eat that counts, but also the inner attitude in which the food is prepared and consumed. These 4 rules of the sattvic diet therefore play a particularly important role for mental balance:
1.
Always cook in an inwardly and outwardly tidy state. While you are preparing your food, your kitchen should be clean and your mind centered.
2.
Cook with love and, while cooking, imagine how you are nourishing, pampering and healing your body and mind with the delicious food.
3.
Create an inviting atmosphere at mealtimes with a beautifully laid table, pleasant lighting and a calm environment. Eat with love and avoid arguments, stress and negative thoughts when eating.
4.
Give preference to plant-rich foods and avoid meat, fish and convenience foods.
